A free trade agreement was signed between Israel and Ukraine in mid-January 2019. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko arrived on an official visit to sign the agreement in Israel.
He was accompanied by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and other high-ranking officials and representatives.
During the visit, Poroshenko met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, as well as Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
